Brain-cracking examinations && nerve - racking school works. HEELP!

Exams. Exams. Exams! Yeah, they're all OVER! (thank God!). We  were all very tired after 3 hard days, last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

First Day, August 3, 2010. STATISTICS, CLE && SOCIAL STUDIES. When I first knew our schedule, I was like "WHAAAT?!". First day was like TERROR on our part since we were not given a day to fully study our lessons, especially Social Studies (we all should memorize lots of facts, terms and COUNTRIES! ++ their LOCATIONS on the map.). Most of my classmates wanted to cry already because of the exams. The given time alloted for us to study is not enough and in Hiligaynon, BITIN. For me, honestly, i wasn`t able to study well in CLE since I concentrated in studiying Social and Statistics. At first, I really thought our exams would be super duper hard, but my mistake, it`s not really that bad if you really studied. Honestly, I didn't have a hard time in answering CLE, Stat and Soc Stud (thank God!). Our test in Social wasn't the test I expected it to be, I thought it would be much much harder, but it wasn't. It was hard, but not too much. :)) First day ended with complaints I heard from my classmates like "budlay!" "baw ka hapos hapos gid ya sang social! (sarcastically)" HAHAHA!. Even I complained, to be honest. :)

Second Day started with prayer lead by the Love group. First exam we took was Math, and holy cow! It was terror! especially, I ran out of time. In the middle of my answering the exams, I wanted to tell our proctor, "sir, extend the time!" because i was only in the 3rd or 4th page and there`s only like 15 mins left and there are still about 2 - 3 pages of problem solving! Ohh, my, I was about tocry. I wrote the solutions super faster and good thing, when I reached the last page, i checked my watch and there was like about 2 mins left, so I hurriedly answered the last problem. Then I finished. Whew! I was relieved. I thought all along I would not finish and really fail in math, but Yes, I finished! Yes I did!  finished! I couldn`t believe it. Thank God. :)) Next, we had our recess and reviewed for CAF and CAE. The bell rang and we took the exam in CAF. It was also like 'Lord-Help-Me!' kind of test. It was difficult especially on the part where you should translate English words to Filipino. My gosh, I really need help. All I can remember is that I really stayed long on the number where it asked for the translation of COMMITTEE in Filipino. Ugh! It really cracked my brain. Finally, we took the last exam for the day, which is CAE and gosh! it was confusing. hahaha. The day ended lightly with so many complaints especially with MATH! hahaha. We were all like saying "ahay, bitin sang oras" "ahay, waay ko katapos" "grabe, budlay sang math" and etc. :))

Last day of exams came. We took the last 2 subjects left, science and journalism. Science. It was not-that-easy-but-at-the-same-time-not-that-hard test. :)) There were parts of the test where I find it hard and confusing but there were also parts where I find easy. Taking the exam in science is super tiring because all we do is write, write and write. There are so many things to write especially in the essays part and the enumeration part. After science, I was really really nervous to take the exam in journalism. I admit, I really haven't studied well on the chronological record of news papers because all along, I thought, Mr. Gerano would let us enumerate all newspapers from the early year to the martial law days. When I received the exam, I immeadiattely scanned the paper to check if there are enumeration parts, but to my surprise..... There wasn't any! ohh myy gosh! i must be dreaming! I could not believe it because sir only gave us multiple choice from 1 - 100! I was very happy in answering the exam. After I finished the exam, i was relieved. But when I asked my classmates "Waay naman ulubrahon no?" There I remembered that there are TONS of projects on queue. Oh my gosh, after the exams, I never thought that we still have so many things to do, and It was to be passed on MONDAY to WEDNESDAY! holy cow. how can I finish all these? I really can say, Lord, HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! :))

Lesson-enriched Evening to Early Morning Experience :D

Last July 16, 2010, 6:00 - July 17, 2010, 6:00 am, we had the "bonggacious" Taize prayer vigil here in Assumption Iloilo, Centennial Sports Complex for the first time. And take note, it was the VERY FIRST TIME EVER IN ASSUMPTION ILOILO HISTORY. At first, when our teachers introduced to us "TAIZE" the first thought that came into my mind was: "Ohh, matulugan gid ko ni mo. Hahaha." But, it seems that my first impression of it was wrong. REALLY wrong. Before the program started, at about 5 in the afternoon, my classmates and I were really REALLY excited. When the program started, we were surprised that we had GAMES! ACTIVITIES! and then GAMES! again and again. I thought going to Taize was really not worth it. I thought that I was going to be disappointed at the end because what the teachers told us was to PRAY and PRAY and PRAY the whole night long... so, BOREDOME went inside my head as the first impression of Taize. But, everything that I thought about was wrong like what I`ve said earlier. When we were given our name tags with the symbols representing the groupings we would be in, I was slight disappointed because my best friends in the section (CAROLYN, CHARLENE, PATRIZIA) belonged to other groups. Dianne and Jeanne, my other best friends, were not joining in the groups either because they were tasked to be usherettes and servers for the Taize vigil. I was sad. When we went down and were asked to go to the Centennial Sports Complex already, i was nervous because, in my group of friends in our section, i was the only one who belonged to the asterisk group. :( When we sat down the bleachers, I was surprised and I was like "enlightened" or "natauhan" when my best friend from ST. ELIZABETH, Apple Colocar approached me and told me that we belonged to the same group. So, I was like... "you know.. yey! I`m with a best friend. Finally. HAHAHA." From that time on, I started became so energetic or what we students call "HYPER". We started the program with a game "BAHAY, BATA, BAGYO". I really had fun and gained NEW friends. After the game, we had the talk. Honestly, we were really bored during the talk. SInce we (our group) seated at the back or the Complex, we could not really understand what the speaker is saying. At the back, it`s as if the speaker`s mouthing her own words, so we were tempted to talk to each other instead to prevent us from getting sleepy. After the talk, we all rejoiced when Mr.Secular said it`s time for us to eat. WOW! EAT? yeah. EAT! haha. After eating, it was that time that many of my friends and classmates felt so sleepy. Maybe because they were used to sleeping after dinner time in their own houses. At around 10 : 00 pm, the handsome, or should I say "HOT" guys (HAHAHA!) from the St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary arrived. At around 11, we were given a break to fix our selves and change because the real TAIZE PRAYER will start already. At around 11:30 pm, we went back the Complex and were told by a gradeschool teacher that the priests are open for confessions. So, my friends andI didn`t let go of the opportunity to ask penance from God from all our sins. I confessed at around 11:45 in the evening. At around 12, the Taize prayer started. After the prayer, we were again given a break and we were served Arroz Caldo, Bread and Iced Teas! YUM! foodtrip! it was like a midnight snack. It was also that time where I get to talk and communicate with my teachers. It was really fun talking to them "AS FRIENDS". Very funny and less serious. LESS LESS SERIOUS that talking to them in the classroom. When i went to the volleyball court, I saw Ms. Olvido sitting. I knew all along that she was really sleepy so my friends and i talked to her. I asked her if she really is sleepy and she replied VERY. Hahaha! so I shared with her what I did to prevent being sleepy. I told her "Miss, kaon ka bala miss Chocolates." Then she said, "why? diin chocolates haw?" I said: "Kagina Miss, nagkaon ko Chocolates tapus na dula tuyo ko asta subong." Then she said: "Ti diin Chocolates haw?" I said: "My ara ko to Miss, imo lang." Then I gave her a bar of chocolates. At around 4 in the morning, we had a mass to signal the end of our Taize prayer vigil. Most of us fell asleep but I didn't. :)) After the mass, the school offered us free hot Milo ang bread. Then, we all went home with tired and sleepy face after a lesson-enriched evening to morning experience. Thanks to Taize, we all learned valuable lessons and also gained more NEW friends.
